Ha

Welcome back! It's quite obvious that I didn't do anything with this blog all year, but now that I'm heading off on a new adventure, it's time to restart my active updates.

I graduated on April 26, and since then have been bumming around Pgh working, seeing friends, and trying to get all packed up/purge my belongings. The plan is to leave Pgh June 4th to begin my cross-country travel extravaganza. For those of you who keep asking and never remembering (cough, Dad, cough), here is the rough plan of action:

June 1-3: NYC
June 4-6: drive to NOLA
June 11(?): begin driving to NM
June 22ish: arrive in LA
June 25: fly to Bogota
July 3: fly to Guatemala
July 16: fly to Mexico City
July 20: return to LA
July 26ish: meet people in AZ to do a Grand Canyon trip
August 2: drive to RMBL in CO
late August: drive to SF
September: find a job! (somewhere betw. Seattle and SF, I figure somebody will want to hire me. I hope)

Total mileage: at least 5200 (eep). Everything is subject to change. Yay for adventures!

Besides seeing parts of this country and others that I've never travelled to before, this is a sort of self-exploratory trip as well: will I be able to stand myself on the road for long days at a time? We'll get the answer to this and many more fun questions as our hero's (my) quest continues.

I may also be using another site that tracks my progress using a map and linked photos if I can get my act together enough to keep up with it. You can click here to see if I've kept my word.
